A delegation of the Public Security (CAND) Newspaper, led by its Editor-in-Chief, Senior Colonel Pham Khai, on November 11 paid last tribute to Nguyen Tuan Minh, a policeman in Dao Ly commune, Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam, who died on duty.
Senior Colonel Pham Khai expressed sympathy for Minh’s family over his death.
The CAND Newspaper presented VND 20 million to the deceased policeman’s family, and hoped that they would overcome the pain and return to their normal life.
Senior Colonel Pham Khai emphasized that the family should be proud of Minh, an example of a typical policeman, who had sacrificed his life for the peaceful life of the people.
Earlier, upon receiving information on a skirmish in Sang village, Dao Ly commune, officer Minh and another policeman raced to the scene.
Arriving at the scene, the two policemen tried to stop the fight between men. When Minh and his colleague were trying to arrest some fighting men, they reacted frenziedly against the policemen. One of them violently attacked Minh. Minh was seriously injured and died at the hospital of Ly Nhan district.
