CAND Newspaper strengthens cooperation with Lao Cai Police

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Pham Khai thanked the local police for their warm reception, and briefed participants on the foundation and development of the CAND Newspaper over the last 74 years.
He also said, in addition to the political tasks, over the years, the CAND Newspaper also well carried out social activities. Within the past 2 weeks, the newspaper has successfully raised over 3 billion VND from donors to support flood victims in Central Vietnam.
He hoped that the future coordination between the CAND Newspaper and the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department will be further strengthened. He also wished to further support local police officers with outstanding achievements in the “Protecting National Security” movement but living in difficult state.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Party Committee and leadership of the Lao Cai police, Senior Colonel Luu Hong quang, Director of the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department warmly welcomed the delegation of the CAND Newspaper. He then briefed the guests on the working results of the local police forces over the times.
The Chief of the Lao Cai police also hoped that the coordination and mutual support between the two units will be more effective after the meeting.
On same day, the delegation of the CAND Newspaper also visited the Bat Xat District Police Station and presented 30 packs of gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to the local police officers who have made great efforts in preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and ensuring local security and order.
The CAND Newspaper and the People’s Committee of the Sa Pa town, Lao Cai Province on October 24 also co-hosted a ceremony and presented awards to the Criminal Police Division and the Drug-related Crime Investigation Division under the Lao Cai Provincial Police Department, and the Sa Pa Town Police Station for their excellent achievements in investigating and suppressing crimes in the past time.
