Cavalry mobile police force shows virtuosity skills in "For Homeland Security" Sports Festival

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held the opening ceremony of the 8th “For Homeland Security” Sports Festival on August 1 in Hanoi. Particularly, the Cavalry mobile police force, the first mounted police battalion of Vietnam performed their virtuosity skills.

| Given the complicated developments of crimes, the Cavalry Mobile Police Corps has been set up to strengthen the fighting capacity for mobile police forces. |

| The force can be used for patrolling and controlling unruly demonstrations, especially in areas where normal vehicles cannot be used. |

| The force will fight crime, patrol and engage in rescues in mountainous areas, as well as maintain security in cities. |

| The cavalries could transport weapons and food to remote areas, as well as participating in governmental ceremonies and receiving international heads of state. |
