Department for Cyber security and Hi-tech Crimes exceeds H1working plan

The Department for Cybersecurity and Hi-Tech Crimes under the Ministry of Public Security held a meeting on June 24 to review its task performances in the first half of 2021 (H1).

Under the authority of the State President, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang awards the Feat of Arms Order to the Department for Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crimes and outstanding officers.

Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at the meeting.

Reports at the meeting read that, in spite of the complicated COVID-19 pandemic, the Department for Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crimes effectively implemented its working programs, exceeding several set targets for H1 by 70%.

Particularly, the department effectively implemented plans to ensure security and order in cyberspace, contributing to the overall success of the 13th Party National Congress and the elections of the 15th National Assembly and all-level People's Councils.

Additionally, the cybersecurity force intensified its State function of managing cybersecurity and protecting State secrets in cyberspace while promptly detecting and solving many security holes and fighting cyberattacks.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the achievements obtained by the department and the cybersecurity and Hi-tech crime force at large in the past time.

Given an increasing demand for information security and safety in cyberspace, the Department for Cybersecurity and Hi-tech Crimes should review its tasks and working plans and pay due attention to implementing strategic and basic tasks as well as quickly developing legal documents in the field of network security and safety, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang asked.

The Deputy Minister also noted that the department should improve the quality of human resources to early complete the projects assigned by the Ministry of Public Security. It should also take advantage of the 4th industrial revolution to modernize the force and improve the quality of its work, contributing to the modernization process of the Public Security Forces in line with the Resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the 7th Public Security Party Congress.
