Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam receives US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State
PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security received US Deputy Assistance Secretary of State Patrick Murphy on October 17 morning, in Hanoi.
Welcoming the visit of US Deputy Assistance Secretary of State Patrick Murphu to Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam highlighted the positive results of bilateral cooperation between the US and Vietnam in general, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the US law enforcement agencies in particular.
He hoped that in the coming time, the two sides will further promote cooperation in combating against crimes, such as human trafficking crime, environmental crime and transnational crime, contributing to ensuring social order, security and creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development of each country.
"The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam had plans to ensure absolute safety for US President Donald Trump and US delegations during their participation in the APEC events and activities in Da Nang as well as the official visit to Vietnam of President Trump in November", affirmed General Nam.
For his part, US Deputy Assistance Secretary of State Patrick Murphy thanked General Nam for the warm welcome. He believed that, in the coming time, the US-Vietnam cooperative relations will be elevated to a new high level.
He also believed that the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam will collaborate with relevant functional forces to well protect security and safety for APEC 2017.
