Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung works with Ho Chi Minh City police

PSNews - Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), on April 1 worked with the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Municipal Police Department.

At the meeting, representatives of the HCMC Police Department briefed the MPS leader on the results of their task performances since the beginning of 2021, especially their work to safeguard the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.

They also reported on the progress of relocating the city’s detention center to Cu Chi district.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister spoke highly of the municipal police’s efforts and achievements in performing their tasks.

Regarding their missions in the coming time, the MPS leader asked the city’s police to strengthen patrols and strictly handle cases of illegally entering Vietnam.

They should pay attention to suppressing “black credit” crimes, drug-related crimes, and illegal motorbike races on express-ways. The Deputy Minister asked the local police to take measures and mobilize local people to prevent fire in the city and handle violations against fire safety regulations.

Earlier on March 31, Deputy Minister Hung and his entourage inspected the construction of the new Chi Hoa detention center in Pham Van Coi commune, Cu Chi district and with the old site of the Chi Hoa detention center in District 10 (HCMC).

On this occasion, the delegation offered incense to Hero Nguyen Van Troi at the Nguyen Van Troi memorial site.
