Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi works with Yen Bai police

PSNews – Recently, Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS), leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, had a meeting with the Yen Bai Provincial Police Department.

At the working session, a representative of the Yen Bai Provincial Police Department briefed delegates on its work of ensuring security and social order over the past time, adding that the Yen Bai police have achieved good results in communication services, information technology, security guarding, and foreign relations while cooperating closely with relevant agencies to well control the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.  

Over the past eight months, the provincial police have implemented effectively campaigns against crimes, focusing on economic crime, drug-related crime and environmental crime.

Particularly, the Yen Bai provincial police successfully protected various working delegations of Central-level agencies and leaders of the State and Party visiting the province as well as proactively developed plans to safeguard Party congresses of agencies and organizations at all levels in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi asked the Yen Bai police to continue focusing on the “All people protect national security” movement while effectively fighting against crime. It should also combine social prevention and professional prevention measures to control crime. Especially, they should focus on eradicating criminal gangs and always maintain a standing-force ready for all security scenarios.

At the same time, the Yen Bai police should maintain communication services, information security, internal security, and foreign affairs. It should also coordinate with other functional agencies to promote prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic in the locality.
