Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Tuyen Quang police

PSNews – A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by its Deputy Minister, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, on July 12 visited and worked with the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Department.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Pham Minh Huan, Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee.

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Sam, Director of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Department briefed the Deputy Minister and the delegation on the unit’s task performance in the first 6 months of 2019 and the working plans for the remaining months.

According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Hong Sam in 2018, the Tuyen Quang police force ranked 2nd among the 63 Provincial and Municipal Police Departments in terms of  administrative reform index.

Over the past time, the unit has actively reorganized and rearranged its apparatus in a streamlined and efficient manner. The local police in collaboration with the local Party Committees and authorities implemented the project to deploy professional officers to communal police posts, and closely coordinated with relevant agencies and departments to prepare for the provincial-level defensive area exercise 2019.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highly appreciated the effective support of the Tuyen Quang provincial leadership for the operations of the local police force. Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also acknowledged and praised the comprehensive good results of the Tuyen Quang police  force in the past time.

Regarding the future plan, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son asked the police force of Tuyen Quang province to continue attacking criminal crimes and drug-related crimes while building the comprehensively developed district-level police force.

The Deputy Minister also agreed with some proposals from the provincial police, and requested relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security to work out appropriate mechanisms to finance the project to build a new headquarters of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police Department.
