Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with public security units of Quang Ninh
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on June 5 led a delegation to visit and work with the Police Station of Co To island and the Security Unit at Van Don International Airport.

According to the report at the meeting, in the first 6 months of 2020, the Co To Police Station has effectively advised higher-level authorities and coordinated with functional forces to ensure border and maritime security, political security, social order and safety. The island’s police has prosecuted four drug-related and criminal cases with nine persons involved.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son appreciated the efforts and achievements of the unit in performing effectively all working aspects, ensuring security and order as well as protecting the peaceful life of the people. He also expressed sympathy for the difficulties faced by officers and soldiers of the unit.

At the meeting with the Security Unit at Van Don International Airport on the same day, Deputy Minister Son hailed the achievements gained by the unit over the past time, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Security Unit at Van Don Airport has served 8,000 people on some 50 flights from 11 countries hit by the pandemic back to Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Son highlighted the need to stay alert against the disease as the pandemic remains complicated around the world.
