Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on April 24 visited and presented scholarships and books to poor students at Chi Ne Secondary School in Chi Ne town, Lac Thuy district, Hoa Binh province.
The event was part of the activities of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the Liberation of the Southern Vietnam and National Unification, the 131th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19), the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 tenure.
At the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh on behalf of the MPS leadership presented 30 computers and 1 projector to Chi Ne Secondary School. He personally awarded scholarships to 20 poor students and gave 1000 books to the school’s library.
Addressing the ceremony, the Deputy Minister expressed his delight at the achievements of Chi Ne Secondary School. He wished the school would make more efforts in well educating future generations, contributing to developing human resources for not only the locality but also the country.
The Deputy Minister and delegates attended atree-planting event organized by Chi Ne Secondary School.
