Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh receives delegation of Royal Thai Police

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on July 11, received a high-ranking delegation of the Royal Thai Police, led by its Deputy Chief, General Wirachai Songmetta, who were on a working visit to Vietnam.

An overview of the reception

Speaking at the reception, Deputy Minister Thanh extended congratulations to the Royal Thai police and other functional forces of Thailand on their successful rescue of the football team trapped in Tham Luang Cave (Chiang Rai province) in over 2 weeks.

The Deputy Minister also expressed his delight at the fine development of the Vietnam-Thailand strategic partnership and suggested promoting exchanges of delegations, cooperation on personnel training, and sharing of information and experience in crime prevention and fight.

He also hoped that the two sides would continue their coordination to deny any individuals and organizations from using one country’s territory to conduct activities against the other’s interests, as well as cooperate closely in citizens of one country committing offences in the other country, and ensure security and safety for diplomatic offices, businesses and citizens of one country living, studying, working or travelling in the other country.

The Vice Chief of the Royal Thai Police thanked the host for the kind reception, and underlined the significance of meetings, exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, contributing to tightening the relations between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Royal Thai Police.

 He also emphasized that the Royal Thai Police is willing to promote cooperation with the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in all aspects of mutual concern.
