Deputy Minister visits the Central Committee of Association of Former Youth Volunteers
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, paid a working visit to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers on July 4, on the occasion of the 70th Day for Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 – 2017).
At the working session, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers Vu Trong Kim briefed Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh on the general situation of the Association and process of dealing policies for former youth volunteers over the recent years.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated practical activities of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers, bringing benefits to our society and meritorious people.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh affirmed that the Central Public Security Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security will create favorable conditions for and closely cooperate with the Association in handling policies for former youth volunteers, especially who lost their identity documents.
Police of each province and city, particularly communal-level police should be active in identifying information about former youth volunteers, avoiding missing any cases.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also instructed units of public security forces, especially the Policy Department of the General Department of Politics to actively collaborate with the Association to often visit, inquire after and present gifts to needy former youth volunteers.
On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh handed over VND 600 million (from the Public Security Comradeship Fund) to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers.
