Emulation Grouping 5 actively fulfills assigned political tasks

PSNews –Emulation Grouping 5 composed of the six police departments of north-central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien Hue under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in November held a conference at the headquarters of the Quang Tri Provincial Police Department to review the its implementation of the movement of “For Fatherland Security” in 2018.

In 2018, Emulation Grouping 5, led by the Quang Tri Police, increased the rate of successfully-investigated cases from 79% to 90%.

In particular, the Quang Tri Provincial Police Department has investigated 83 drug-related cases and arrested 120 persons involved in as well as seized a large quantity of opium, marijuana and synthetic drugs. The Nghe An police resolved a case with 4 suspects using explosives to destroy ATMs in Cua Lo Town. The Quang Binh police arrested 71 persons involved in 65 drug-related cases, including the largest case of illegal transport and storage of more than 300kg of methamphetamine.

In addition to their political missions, units of Emulation Grouping 5 also well carried out gratitude drives with many practical and meaningful activities, contributing to expanding the gratitude movement of the Public Security Forces.

There were some noticeable activities such as: donating one-day salary to build houses of compassion for needy police officers and soldiers, needy policy beneficiary families and lonely elderly; presenting gifts to needy people and mountainous students; supporting victims of natural calamities.

Speaking at the conference, Senior Colonel Phan Vu Minh, Deputy Director of the Party and Political Work praised the outstanding achievements of the police forces in the 6 North-Central provinces. He hoped that in the coming time, Emulation Grouping 5 would continue to gain further achievements in their work, contributing to cementing the beautiful image of the police officer in the hearts of the people.
