Female student of PSU won first prize at English Opympic
PSNews - The Central Committee of the HCM Communist Youth Union in collaboration with the Public Security University (PSU) and AMES International English System held the final round of the 2020 English Olympic in HCMC, on November 15.

A female student from the PSU and her partners won the first prize of the competition.
Speaking at the final round of the 2020 English Olympic, Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) thanked the PSU for their support and sent his best wishes to the teachers and education officials of PSU on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20).
He highlighted that English is considered not only a worldwide language but also an essential tool for the Vietnamese youth to absorb scientific and technical advances as well as global knowledge.

In particular, in the era of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, English helps Vietnamese youths promote trans-border connections and develop themselves, contributing to the development of society and the country.
After about four months, 15 best contestants were selected to enter the final round of the 2020 English Olympic for Youth Union members. They were divided into 5 teams, each of which consisted of 3 contestants including one youth union's official, one civil servant/employee/labor and one officer of the armed forces). They competed in three parts including introduction, Q & A and debate.
Three contestants of the public security delegation selected for the final round included: Lieutenant Nguyen Truong Giang (People's Security Academy), Major Ha Thi Huyen (Nghe An police) and female student Duong Thi Tra (PSU).
Finally, the team including contestant Duong Thi Tra (PSU), Nguyen Dang Quang (General Department of Taxation) and Hoang Minh Hang (Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thanh Tri district, Hanoi) won the first prize of the English Olympic.
