The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security on August 12 held a training course in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province for public lecturers on fire safety, prevention and fighting.
The training course was attended by 80 public speakers on fire safety, prevention and fighting from fire police units of 19 localities in the centre and Central Highlands.
During the 5-days training course, the attendants will be provided with effective methodologies and skills to give lectures on fire safety and prevention to the public.
According to official statics, the first half of 2019 saw 1,927 fires, killing 59 people, injuring 64 others and causing a total material loss of VND 650 billion, across the country.
Causes of these incidents vary, but the common one is people’s lack of fire and explosion prevention skills.
