General To Lam joins online meeting with Hung Yen voters

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the 3 districts of Yen My, Khoai Chau, Kim Dong and Hung Yen city on May 10 held the online meeting between local voters and the province’s candidates.

At the meeting, the local voters were briefed on the biographies and action plans of Constituency 1’s NA candidates, including General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security; Mr. Do Tien Si, member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Mai, Vice Chairwoman of the Economic Committee of the 14th National Assembly; Ms. Vu Thi Thu Hang from the Hung Yen Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; and Ms. Pham Thi Hanh from the Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union.
In his speech to the local voters, General To Lam said he was proud of being nominated as a candidate for the National Assembly of Hung Yen province.
General To Lam affirmed that if he is elected, he will join the Hung Yen Provincial National Assembly’s delegation to continue to contribute to promoting socio-economic development and improving living standard of people in the province in particular and the country as a whole.
The Minister of Public Security assured that he will actively advise the National Assembly and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to soon institutionalize the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the 2013 Constitution.
He will also contribute good ideas to the National Assembly’s resolutions on major issues of the country, especially policies on national defense and security as well as building elite and modern armed forces.
Regarding his responsibilities as a deputy of Hung Yen province, Minister To Lam promised he will regularly meet local voters to collect their opinions and ideas, and convey local voters’ aspirations to the country’s legislature and other relevant agencies. He affirmed he will protect legal rights and interests of local voters.
At the meeting, local voters expressed their confidence in all the candidates of Hung Yen’s Constituency No1 for the 15th National Assembly for the 2021-2026 tenure. They also pointed out several issues at their localities.
At the end of the meeting, General To Lam, on behalf of all the candidates of Hung Yen’s Constituency No1, thanked local voters for their trust and promised that he will fulfill his action program presented at the meeting if he is elected as a National Assembly's deputy.
