Generations of CAND Newspaper’s reporters reunite in Hanoi

The event was also joined by Deputy Editors-in-Chief of the newspapers: Senior Colonel Pham Khai, Senior Colonel Tran Thanh Phong, and Colonel Nguyen Thuy Quynh; former Editors and Deputy Editors-in-Chief of the newspaper; leaders of the newspaper’s representative offices.

At the meeting, on behalf of the leaders, reporters and workers of the CAND Newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien extended deep gratitude and New Year wishes to all delegates. He also briefed the delegates on the outstanding results of the newspaper in 2018.

According to Major General Pham Van Mien, in the implementation of the restructuring project initiated by the Ministry of Public Security, from August 6th 2018, the CAND Newspaper has become a sub-unit of the Department for Information and Communications of the Public Security Forces.

Although this made many changes in personnel, organizational structure, the leaders, reporters and workers of the CAND Newspaper still stood united and excellently fulfilled all tasks assigned by the Central Party Committee of Public Security, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security. Thanks to its important contribution to the common achievements, the Department for Information and Communications received the Emulation Flag for Excellent Unit from the Ministry of Public Security.

Major General Pham Van Mien affirmed that all leaders, reporters and workers of the CAND Newspaper today are deeply grateful to leaders, reporters and workers of the previous generations, who have created a foundation for today’s development of the newspaper.  “We all wish to continue to receive encouragement and support from the former leaders, reporters and workers of the newspaper in the time to come,” said General Mien.
