Ha Giang Police active in supporting local victims of natural disasters
PSNews – The Provincial Police of Ha Giang has deployed hundreds of police officers and soldiers to various areas to evacuate locals from dangerous sites and ensure security and order in flood-affected areas.

Heavy rains from June 22 to 24 had caused landslides and flash floods in Ha Giang, submerging many residential areas of the province congesting the section of National Highway 4C between Ha Giang city and some districts of the rocky plateau. In Quang Ba district, a flash flood killed at least 2 people and swept away dozens of houses.
In Ha Giang city, heavy rains flooded various wards, drowned crops and property of local people. Many sections of roads were 1.2 meter under water, causing various troubles to transportation.
In response to the situation, the Provincial Police of Ha Giang sent a dispatch to direct local police units to take active measures in respond to the consequences of heavy rains, flash floods and landslides while ensuring security and order as well as traffic safety and order and other unexpected incidents caused by natural disasters.
All local police units has been asked to closely monitor the situations of rains and floods, coordinate with functional forces to check households living near the river banks, low lands and areas prone to landslides and flash floods, and prepare to evacuate people to safer places.
The provincial police force has also been assigned to protect absolute safety of offices of agencies and businesses, detainment centers, important economic and political targets, and promptly guide traffic flows and ease traffic congestion.
To date, the traffic police, fire police and mobile police of Ha Giang have coordinated closely with functional forces to deploy vehicles to facilitate the movement of the people through flooded areas in the city of Ha Giang.
