Hanoi Police launches tree-planting festival

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue, Politburo’s Member and Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee.
By 2020, Hanoi has completed the one million-tree planting program two years ahead of the schedule, while continuing to plant another 600,000 trees along 250 roads, streets and public areas.
In 2021, Hanoi aims to plant over 300,000 trees. By 2030, the number of trees in the capital city is equal to its population. The Hanoi police have planned to plant 3,000 trees in 2021.
In 2021, the Soc Son District People’s Committee also strives to plant new 12,000 trees of all kinds, while taking good care of and protecting the current forests and preserving the local ecological environment.
At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung, Director of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department and other delegates joined local people to plant trees at the Cultural House of Luong Chau hamlet, Tien Duoc Commune, Soc Son District.
