Incoming RoK Ambassador vows to promote bilateral relations

Speaking at the reception, Minister Lam congratulated the Ambassador on his new appointment, and said, since the two countries established their diplomatic ties, the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and RoK had seen strong developments.
Minister Lam stressed that the good outcomes of the bilateral relations have come from efforts of the two governments and peoples in promoting mutual trust and understanding, focusing on common benefits, and improving the effectiveness of cooperation.
Based on the fine relations between the two countries, the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and law enforcement agencies of RoK has further been expanded.
The two sides annually organize meetings to discuss regional and international security issues of mutual concern as well as exchange information about prevention and combat of crimes in each country, and coordinate to prevent and fight criminal activities, and hunt for fugitives.
Minister Lam also spoke highly of the support and assistance of the Embassy of RoK in Vietnam in promoting the relations between the two countries, and hoped that the newly appointed Ambassador in his capacity would contribute to boosting the bilateral ties of the two countries as well as the cooperation between the MPS of Vietnam and relevant agencies of RoK, backing national security and social safety and order of each country.
The Ambassador thanked Minister Lam for this kind reception and emphasized that the Vietnam-RoK relationship is a strategic partnership based on time-testing friendship. He also promised to do his best to foster and lift the relations between the two countries to a new height.
