Leaders of 19-8 Hospital and Hanoi Medical University Hospital promote cooperation

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security on May 18 chaired a conference on improving capacity of the public security medical sector for medical examination and treatment.
The conference focused on professional expertise cooperation between the 19-8 Hospital (Under the Ministry of Public Security) and the Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
At the conference, a representative of Hanoi Medical University Hospital said that the hospital currently has five professors and 33 associate professors from different faculties of Hanoi Medical University. The hospital has invested in many high technologies and applied 4.0 technological software and 3D rendering in surgery. In particular, the hospital has had a platform for remote medical examination.

However, the hospital still needs to improve its professional expertise in cancer treatment and kidney transplantation. Therefore, the collaboration between the 19-8 Hospital and Hanoi Medical University Hospital will surely benefit both sides.
Assoc.Prof.Dr Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital wished to establish a high-quality medical center between the two sides. At the same time, he urged leaders of the Public Security Ministry to sign a memorandum of understanding on the bilateral cooperation as soon as possible.
For his part, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son affirmed: "Cooperation in healthcare is an inevitable and popular trend, and it also meets the increasing need for healthcare of the Public Security Forces in the current situation.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son assigned the 19-8 Hospital and related units to urgently draft and build regulations and models of cooperation between the two hospitals, so as to continuously improve the quality of medical examination and treatment of public security officers and people.
