MPS and MARD promote cooperation in rural security
PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) co-organized a conference on December 14 to preliminarily review the implementation of Joint Circular No. 04/2015 / TTLT on coordination in ensuring security and safety for agriculture and rural development.

The two ministers attended and co-chaired the conference.
After the signing of the circular 2 years ago, the two ministries actively cooperated in developing and completing policies and laws related to agriculture and rural development. The MPS has regularly discussed with the MARD the complicated issues in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors, in part helping the MARD well perform its state management mission.
In addition to coordinating in the protection of internal political, economic security, State secrets, public security units also coordinated with relevant agencies of the MARD in conducting food safety inspections and checks.
Accordingly, over 300 joint inspection teams of the two ministries were formed and conducted surprise checks at some 9,000 production and business facilities, levied fines on 6,700 violated facilities, bringing some VND 40 billion to the State Budget.
Minister of the MARD Nguyen Xuan Cuong praised the efficient cooperation of the MPS in the context of natural disasters in recent years.
Minister of Public Security To Lam also spoke highly of the fine outcomes of the bilateral cooperation between the two ministries.
At the meeting, Minister Lam presented medals “For Fatherland Security” to leaders of the MARD. Minister Nguyen Xuan Cuong also awarded medals “For the cause of agriculture and rural development” to leaders of the MPS.
