Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of the MPS and Head of the Cyber Security Law Drafting Board, chaired the meeting.
Members of the Cyber Security Law Drafting Board and Working Group responsible for drafting government’s instructions on implementing the Cyber Security Law discussed and worked on 3 draft documents guiding the implementation of the Cyber Security Law.
They focused discussion on central issues regarding policies on cyber security, contributing to completing the set of government’s instructions on the implementation of the Law.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam underlined the significance of government’s instructions, which have direct impacts on the protection of national security, social order and safety, and national sovereignty.

These documents will also relate to the functions and tasks of various ministries and branches, and receive great concern from organization and individuals at home and overseas.
Minister Lam also asked the Cyber Security Law Drafting Board and Working Group responsible for drafting government’s instructions on implementing the Cyber Security Law to collect and consider about all opinions, revise the draft documents and finalize them before delivering the drafts to the concerned ministries and branches for further comments, while ensuring the quality of the documents and the working progress in line with the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents.
At the request of the Prime Minister, government’s instructions on the implementation of the Law on Cyber Security should be promptly completed and submitted to the Government for consideration and promulgation by January 1, 2019.
