MPS holds conference to summarize theoretical work in new situation

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security on December 26 held a conference to review the 5-year implementation of Resolution No.08-NQ/ ĐUCA of the Party Central Committee and Directive No.05/CT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security on strengthening public security theoretical work in the new situation.         

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Standing Vice Chairman of the Theoretical Council of the Ministry of Public Security chaired the conference.

Lieutenant General, Associate Professor Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Member of the Central Theoretical Council, Vice Chairman of the Theoretical Council of the Ministry of Public Security, stated that theoretical work plays an important role in drawing up directions and guiding the implementation of tasks, and explaining new issues.

The participating delegates evaluated the results achieved over the past 5 years of the implementation of Resolution No.08 and Directive No.5, frankly pointed out limitations and their causes, and discussed solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of theoretical work in order to meet the requirement of the tasks of ensuring security and order in the current situation.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong affirmed that the establishment of the Theoretical Council of the Ministry of Public Security was a right decision of the Central Party Committee and the Minister of Public Security.

Deputy Minister stressed that, in the coming time, the theoretical work should have a comprehensive change, and effectively support the implementation of the two strategic missions of successfully building and defending the country.

The Theoretical Council of the Ministry of Public Security was asked to build a database system of scientific theories on the basis of linking the information of the ministry's scientific agencies with the public security academies and schools; complete the organization of public security agencies and institutions in charge of research, information dissemination and education; and build a contingent of  police officers with high qualifications and passions to work with theoretical work of public security.

The Council should also continue to advise, appraise and propose important issues on security, order, and force building to the Party Central Committee and the Ministry of Public Security.

At the conference, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security handed the Prime Minister's Certificates of Merit to the Public Security Strategy and Science Institute, the Public Security Academy, the People's Police Academy, and the Certificates of Merit of the Minister of Public Security to organizations and individuals with excellent achievements in public security theoretical work in the past 5 years.
