MPS leader visits Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on occasion of Buddha's 2565th Birthday

A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) led by Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on May 21 at Quan Su pagoda on the occasion of Buddha's 2565th Birthday (Vesak day).

On behalf of the MPS leadership, Deputy Minister Quang presented a flower basket of congratulations and wished all Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers a peaceful and safe Vesak day.

The Deputy Minister stressed that, over the past time, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has always accompanied the people and the nation, especially the Public Security Forces, in the cause of defending and developing the country. He also highly appreciated the humane and good deeds of Buddhist dignitaries and followers across the country over the past time.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council, thanked the leaders of the MPS as well as the Public Security Forces for their goodwill and support for Buddhists nationwide.

He believed that the People's Public Security Forces will overcome all difficulties to maintain political security, ensure social order and safety for the country and for peace and happiness of the people.
