MPS leaders meet former Southern security officers in the anti-US resistance war

The Public Security Central Party Committee in collaboration with Tay Ninh authorities on July 19 held a meeting to honor 500 delegates representing 21,000 veteran officers of the Southern security force in the anti-US resistance war period.
This is the first year that the Public Security Party Committee has organized a meeting with Southern security officers in the anti-US resistance war period nationwide. General To Lam, Minister of Public Security chaired the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, General To Lam sent his best wishes to the delegates and the whole force. He highly appreciated the great contribution and dedication of the Southern security force in the anti-US resistance war period, saying that the force contributed largely to the national reunification. Minister Lam also emphasized that all of these achievements have also become valuable political ideological and moral education lessons for the next generations of public security officers.
According to Minister To Lam, the history of the Southern security force has affirmed that the public security forces must be absolutely loyal to Party, Fatherland and people, and serve as the Party's strong revolutionary force. The security force should continuously develop as an elite and strong public security force, grasp the situation, take professional measures in protecting national security tasks, and coordinate closely with other forces to successfully complete assigned missions.
He also stated that, with its core role in protecting national security and ensuring public order and safety in the current situation, the Public Security Forces have proactively grasped, forecasted the situation, served as a think-tank for the Party and State in national security and public order and safety issues, and taken synchronous measures to protect national security, social order and safety over the past years, contributing to maintaining political stability and creating a peaceful environment for national development.
On the same day, the delegation of the Public Security Central Party Committee led by Minister To Lam offered flowers and incense to martyrs at in cemetery and relic in dedication to the former Central Security Department of the South in Tan Bien district, Tay Ninh province.
