MPS offers medical supplies for COVID-19 prevention to Singapore
Under the authority of General To Lam, Minister of Public Security (MPS), Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong, Director of the Foreign Relations Department under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in May handed over 10,000 medical facemasks to the Singaporean Embassy in Vietnam in support of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the hand-over ceremony, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong stated that the development of the COVID-19 pandemic is still complicated in ASEAN countries, and Singapore is suffering its large consequences.
To join hands with the Singaporean police in the fight against the disease, the Vietnamese MPS pledged to support the country in general and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore in particular to combat the disease in the hope of bringing cooperation activities between the two countries back to a normal state.
Sincerely thanking to the Vietnamese MPS and General To Lam, Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Catherine Wong emphasized the MPS’s timely support demonstrated the friendship between the two countries in general and the law enforcement agencies in particular in the fight against COVID-19.
Ambassador Catherine Wong also affirmed that he will continue to contribute to promoting relations between the two countries as well as between the Ministry of Home Affairs of Singapore and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
