MPS reviews asset recovery in corruption and economic cases
PSNews – An inspection team of the Anti-Corruption Central Steering Committee on November 29 worked with the Standing Board of the Central Public Security Party Committee on asset recovery in corruption and economic cases.

The event saw the presence of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister
Truong Hoa Binh, Politburo member and Vice Head of the Standing Board of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption; Minister of Public Security To Lam and other leaders of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh emphasized that the inspection aimed to review results of asset recovery, identify weaknesses and difficulties in the process, and find solutions to the issues.
Regarding the results of asset recovery in corruption and economic cases, the inspection team concluded that the Central Public Security Party Committee has paid due attention to anti-corruption and asset recovery in corruption and economic cases as well as issued various instructions, and drastically proceeded the asset recovery process.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh acknowledged that asset recovery has been carried out effectively by professional units of the Public Security Forces. Meanwhile, reports at the meeting released that the Public Security Forces have recovered some 6,000 billion VND and various assets related to corruption and economic cases. In several special cases, 100% corrupted assets and money has been recovered.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister also asked the Central Public Security Party Committee to add good ideas and recommendations at the meeting to the inspection report. He also urged the Public Security Central Party Committee to direct its relevant agencies and units to seriously implement requirements of the inspection delegation.
