MPS reviews coordination with press and media, and information authorities
PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a conference on March 5 to review the coordination with the press authorities and press agencies in 2018 and agreed on new working plans for 2019.

The event saw the presence of Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Commission for Information and Education and leaders of the Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam.
General To Lam, Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.
Major General Dao Gia Bao, Director of the Department for Party and Political Work under the MPS, briefed participants in the event on coordination activities between the MPS and the press authorities and agencies in 2018.

Delegates also gave their opinions on the coordination with the Public Security Forces in the past time and discussed working plans for the time to come.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam thanked the Central Commission for Information and Education, the General Department of Politics of the People’s Army, the Ministry of Information and Communications and all press and media agencies for their effective support and coordination with the Public Security Forces in the past time.

Minister Lam also appreciated the contribution of the press and media to promoting the image of Vietnam and the Public Security Forces during the DPRK – U.S Summit in Hanoi.
Minister Lam hoped that the press and media will further coordinate with the Public Security Forces in covering activities and operations of the Public Security Forces in 2019.
At the conference, the organizers awarded National Security Protection Medals to 25 individuals of ministries, departments and central branches with large contributions to the cause of national security protection.
