The event was chaired by Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son. The meeting was also attended by Minister, General To Lam among other Deputy Ministers of Public Security, including Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Major General Le Quoc Hung and Major General Le Tan Toi.

Reports at the event read that, in the period, the public security financial, logistic, and technical sectors, under the direction of the MPS leadership, closely followed operations of all public security agencies and local police units to provide sufficient finance, logistics and technical services, effectively assisting them in performing both regular and unexpected task.
The three support sectors continuously improved their capacities on one hand and invested in various projects to develop the Public Security Forces on the other hand. Particularly, they invested in building new headquarters and equipping modern facilities and equipment for both under-ministerial public security agencies and police units.

The logistic sector with its public security healthcare system took good care of the health of all public security officers and soldiers.
At the conference, delegates evaluated each sector’s task performance in the 2016 – 2020 period and discussed missions for them in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Minister To Lam praised the achievements made by the three support sectors over the past time.
He emphasized that the three sectors should further their capacities in the next five years (2021 –2025) so as to meet the demands of all public security agencies and police units for their operations, contributing to ensuring national security and public order, cyber-security, as well as to fighting hi-tech crimes, implementing the e-Government project and promoting administrative reforms.

He asked the three sectors to pay attention to modernizing the public security command and information system while enhancing research and application of scientific and technological advances, especially digital technology, automation, artificial intelligence, and smart operational systems to their work.
