Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy, Vice Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Election Council of Quang Ngai, briefed the delegates on the preparation of the province for the election, saying that the province has seriously followed the election plans of the National Election Council and the Election Law.
Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam applauded the efforts of the province’s election council in the preparation for the upcoming election.
He also appreciated the provincial functional forces’ efforts in disseminating information about the election as well as citizens’ rights and obligations to participate in elections, while fighting against distorted information about the election. He also praised the provincial police and medical selector for their good preparation.
Regarding major missions in the coming time, Minister To Lam asked the provincial election committee to hold more meetings with voters and intensify checks of candidates. Functional forces were also asked to ensure absolute safety and security for the upcoming election.
He noted that the province should continue information dissemination on the election so that all people, particularly women, workers, fishermen, residents of islands or ethnic minority people, are aware of the significance of the election.

On the same day, Minister To Lam and his delegation worked with the provincial police of Quang Ngai.
At the meeting, Senior Colonel Phan Cong Binh, Director of the provincial police, briefed the minister and his delegation on major activities and outcomes gained by the provincial police force since the beginning of the year. Minister To Lam hailed the provincial police’s good results in maintaining public order and security.
The minister asked the provincial police to strictly follow the directions of the MPS, and the provincial authorities in terms of ensuring security and order, particularly during the upcoming elections.
Additionally, the provincial police should focus on crime prevention and control, especially the fight against drug-related crimes and gambling, make more efforts to recover weapons and explosives illegally held by people, while speeding up issuance of new ID cards.
