Minister of Public Security meets voters in Bac Ninh province
PSNews - The Bac Ninh provincial National Assembly (NA) delegation, hosted a meeting with voters of Thuan Thanh district of the northern province of Bac Ninh on June 24.
General To Lam, Minister of Public Security and member of the Bac Ninh provincial NA delegation also attended the meeting.
Ms. Tran Thi Hang, Vice Head of the NA delegation of Bac Ninh, briefed the voters on the outcomes of the 7th working session of the 14th National NA.
At the meeting, voters of Thuan Thanh expressed their delight at the outcomes of the prevention and combat of various crimes, particularly black credit, in the past time, and believed that the police forces at all levels will achieve more successes in ensuring public order and security. They also asked the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to further enhance prevention and fight against black credit in the time to come to stabilize rural security.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam hailed the large achievements in promoting socio-economic development, ensuring political security and social order as well as the improvement of people’s living standard and effectiveness of social activities in the district.
Minister To Lam stressed that the MPS is focusing on fighting large drug trafficking rings that are trying to transport drugs of various kinds from other countries to various localities of Vietnam, including the Northwestern, Central and Central Highland provinces. He affirmed that the Vietnamese police and other relevant forces are determined to prevent Vietnamese criminals in collaboration with foreign criminals from turning Vietnam into a depot of drugs.
Minister To Lam also acknowledged voters' opinions at the meeting, saying that is the opinions show legitimate aspirations and expectations of voters for NA deputies and local Party committees and authorities. He proposed that the leaders of Bac Ninh soon resolve requests of voters.
