PSNews- The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) organized a conference on May 25th to review the Public Security Forces’ performances of tasks in protecting the election of the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-26 term.

The event was chaired by General To Lam, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Chief of MPS’s Office delivered a report on the results of the task implementation of the Public Security Forces in May and a general working plan for June 2020, saying that the Public Security Forces successfully protected security and safety for the election of the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-26 term nationwide.

The Public Security Forces have also speeded up the National Population Database Project and e-ID Card Project. Next, the forces participated actively in controlling illegal entry and exit.

Particularly, they destroyed a number of networks organizing illegal immigration. In May 137 foreigners illegally entering Vietnam were returned back home.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister To Lam praised public security agencies and units for their great efforts to successfully fulfill their assigned tasks over the past month.

Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, Minister To Lam asked all public security agencies and units to actively roll out working plans to achieve set goals of the first half of 2021.

He also urged all the public security agencies and units to speed up the two above mentioned projects.
