New Director of Vinh Long Provincial Police appointed

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has just announced a decision of the Minister of Public Security to appoint new Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Police Department.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the decision announcing ceremony.

The event was also attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Nam, Vice Director of the General Department of Politics under the MPS; representatives from the Office of the MPS and relevant agencies. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Tran Van Ron, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Truong Van Sau, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee of Vinh Long.

As authorized by the MPS Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh announced the decision to appoint Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Hieu as the Director of the Vinh Long Police Department.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also highlighted the contributions of Major General Nguyen Van Ut, former Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Police Department, to the police force building mission, prevention and fight against crimes as well as protection of security and order in Vinh Long.

The deputy minister also congratulated Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Hieu, and asked him to promote the sense of responsibility and unity, and strive to build a clean and strong local police force able to complete all assignments by the province and the MPS.

In his swear-in ceremony, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Hieu vowed to join the leaders and officers of the Vinh Long police force to maintain security and order in the province, build a clean and strong local police force, so as to deserve the trust from the Central Public Security Party Committee, leaders of the MPS, the local Party organizations, authorities and the people of Vinh Long.
