Northern public security agencies and units review Party and political work in second half of 2020

Over the past time, Party committees and chains of command of public securityagencies and units have actively advised the Public SecurityCentral Party Committee and the MPS to issue appropriate guidelines on Party and political work as well as mass mobilization in thePublic Security Forces.

All public security agencies and local units have promoted political and ideological education as well as promptly and effectively implement the Party's directives and resolutions, and spreading the campaigns “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morals and lifestyle” and “Building public security officers’ manners of bravery, humanity and devotedness to people”.

The work of emulation and commendation in the Public Security Forces recognized and promoted many exemplary people and models in emulation movements. Particularly, the Ministry of Public Security has successfully held the 8th “For National Security” Movement Congress , and 20 collectives and 10 individuals of the Public Security Forces have been nominated for the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces”, one team and nine individuals for the “Feats of Arms” Order, and 15 teams, 293 individuals for the “Fatherland Protection” Order.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that there are various important and urgent tasks related to Party building and political work that the public security units and agencies should fulfill in the coming time. These include thoroughly embracing and implementing Resolutions of the 7th Public Security Party Congress and the upcoming 13th National Party Congress.

Additionally, leaders of all public security agencies and units should grasp thoughts of their subordinates, back them in solving their difficulties, and meet their reasonable demands, thus motivating them to fulfill their assigned tasks.

The Deputy Minister also asked the public security agencies and units to constantly renovate the contents, forms and methods of political and ideological education while focusing on the building of a contingent of officers in charge of Party and political work with a firm political stance, good ethical qualities, and professional expertise.

* On the morning of the same day Major General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Director of the Party and Political Work Department under the MPS, led a delegation of the public security agencies and units in the North to offer incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh President and public security war martyrs at the Historical Site of the former Central Public Security Headquarters, in Minh Thanh commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province.
