PPA opens 2017-2018 academic year with impressive parade

PSNews - The multi-force parade has become a specialty of the People's Police Academy (PPA) in the new academic year's opening ceremony.

The People's Police Academy held a ceremony to open the 2017-2018 academic year on September 26th in Hanoi with the presence of Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister To Lam praised the efforts of the teachers, officers and students of the PPA as well as their outstanding achievements in education and training of the academy in the academic year 2016-2017.

Minister To Lam beat the symbolic drum to open the new school year. He also urged the PPA to continue to innovate and improve the quality of education and training in order to promote its position as a major center for training and research in the public security forces and in the country.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of the People's Police Academy revealed that the academy made a number of important breakthroughs in education and training during the 2016-2017 academic year.

At the opening ceremony, students of the PPA performed an impressive parade in a solemn atmosphere.

In his speech, Minister To Lam also asked students of the PPA to learn hard following the tradition “Veneration of teacher and respect for morality” and the studiousness in learning of the Vietnamese people; actively improve knowledge and professional skills while developing the noble personality of the officer of the People’s Police Force in order to complete all tasks assigned by the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and the people.

The PPA is striving to be a leading center for undergraduate and graduate education, professional training and scientific researche of the Public Security Forces. It also aims to soon become a key education and training institution of Vietnam.

To this end, the PPA set the objectives “Standardize – Computerize – Modernize” for the 2017-2018 academic year.

After 50 years of construction and development and overcoming many obstacles, generations of the teachers and students of the PPA have attained great achievements, contributing to the cause of education and training as well as the cause of national security protection, social order and safety.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security under the authority of the Prime Minister presented the Emulation Flag for Excellent Unit to the People’s Police Academy.
