People’s Police Higher School 3 receives Fatherland Protection Order
PSNews – The People’s Police Higher School 3 (T49) organized on November 14 celebrated its 10th Traditional Day (November 26), the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20) and received the third-class Fatherland Protection Order.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on November 26, 2007 announced a decision to establish the T49 and opened the first training course. This marked an important milestone in education and training of police officers and soldiers for the Southwest (Mekong Delta) – one of the 3 key areas of Vietnam in terms of national security and social order and safety.
Over the past 10 years of development, the T49 has attained various achievements in many fields. The Police Higher School has overcome numerous difficulties and challenges in the past 10 years and fulfilled all given tasks, while continuously enhancing the quality of its education and training.
The School has trained thousands of officers for the Provincial-level Police Departments of the Southwest region, assisted the local police forces in the region in maintaining national security and social order and safety.
For these achievements, the T49 was awarded one Excellent Emulation Flag, one Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister; seven Excellent Emulation Flags, one Certificate of Merit by the MPS. Particularly, on the occasion of its 10th founding anniversary, the T49 was honored with the Fatherland Protection Order of third class by the State President.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of the T49 in the past time.
The Deputy Minister also asked the school to continue to promote its 10-year traditions of building and development, focus on effectively implementing the directions of the Party, the State, the Central Public Security Party Committee, the MPS on renewing education and training, building a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern police force, while well implementing its main task of education and training, according to their assigned functions and duty.
He also urged the T49 to promote Party building work, build a clean and strong school; prevent and fight manifestations of degradation of political ideology, ethics, signs of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation”, while enhancing the movement “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and style” and improving cadres and teachers’ political knowledge, professional qualifications and ethics.
Earlier, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the new academic year of the People’s Police Higher School 6 (based in An Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai).
