Police units of Group 8 start competing in Regulations, Shooting and Martial Arts

The event saw the presence of Senior Colonel Le Hong Hiep, Vice Director of the Department of Party and Political Work; Mr. Le Van Dung, Standing Vice Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Dinh Van Thu, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, as well as representatives of relevant departments and agencies of the province.

According to the organizing panel, the competition has drawn the participation of nearly 500 athletes, who are officers and soldiers of the provincial police departments of Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and BinhThuan.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Le Hong Hiep highlighted the significance of the sport festival, saying that it is an activity to mark major anniversaries of the country in 2019, particularly the 75th Traditional Day of the Public Security Forces and 15th Anniversary of the Movement “All people protecting national security.”

This competition also aims to assess the police units’ training of public security regulations and martial arts, promote the emulation movement “For national security” and raise the observance of the discipline and effectiveness of ensuring security and order.

The Group 8 competition will last till June 14. The closing and award ceremony will be held on the afternoon of June 14 at the hall of the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department.
