Public Security Inspectorate reviews work of handling criminal denunciations

PSNews - The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) in December held a conference in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province to review the work of receiving handling of crime denunciations and petitions for prosecution in the Public Security Forces.

Reports at the event read that the results of inspections have showed, local police units have basically complied with the regulations and laws on the reception and handling of crime denunciations and petitions for prosecution

However, some police units still have had limitations and shortcomings in receiving and handling crime denunciations and petitions for prosecution.

Speaking at the event, Major General Tran Duc Tuan asked the Department of Legal Affairs and Administrative, Judicial Reforms, the Department of Security Investigation and the Criminal Investigation Agency under the MPS to advise leaders of the MPS to propose amendments and supplements to current laws and regulations to the National Assembly, the Government and the judiciary.

He also asked the Party committees and leaders of the local police units, as well as heads of investigation agencies at all levels to seriously handle public security officers who make mistakes in receiving and handling crime denunciations and petitions for prosecution.

Major General Tran Duc Tuan then stressed that the Inspectorate of the MPS and leaders of local police units should continue to direct their units to strengthen inspection and check of the work of reception and handling of crime denunciations and petitions for prosecution.
