Chairman of the Dong Thap People’s Committee has signed a decision to confer a certificate of merit on the Public Security Newspaper’s Ho Chi Minh City Office for its significant contribution to social security and order in Dong Thap province over the past year.

A representative of the Dong Thap leadership presented the certificate of merit to Public Security Newspaper at the meeting of the Dong Thap countrymen’s association in Ho Chi Minh City held on February 11th at Ben Thanh theatre.
After briefing achievements of Dong Thap province in 2016, Chairman of the Dong Thap People’s Committee Nguyen Van Duong sincerely thanked donors, especially the Public Security Newspaper, for supporting Dong Thap needy families and students, and revolution contributors.
According to Mr. Dang Phuoc Thanh, Chairman of the Council of the Dong Thap countrymen’s association in Ho Chi Minh City, in 2016, the council received over VND 12 billion of donation. This funding was then used to build infrastructure in Dong Thap. Particularly the council completed 25 rural bridges, 6 houses of gratitude, 65 charity houses and 16 kilometers of rural road.
In 2016, the Public Security Newspaper donated VND 150 million to build 3 gratitude houses in Hong Ngu, Thanh Binh and ThapMuoi district; and offered hundreds of Tet gifts to needy people in Lap Vo and Hong Ngu district, Dong Thap province.
