Public security forces perfecting plans for absolute security for APEC 2017 Summit Week
Lieutenant General Duong Minh Hung, Deputy Director of The General Department of Security, permanent member of the Security and Order Subcommittee of APEC 2017 briefed the results of work in ensuring security for APEC 2017 made by relevant agencies and units since the 2nd sessions, and highlighted the core tasks of the subcommittee from now till October 2017.
At the meeting, delegates discussed and evaluated advantages and disadvantages in ensuring security and order and medical care, as well as issues relating to coordination among the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Heath, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee and Ministry of Public Security to ensure absolute security for the APEC 2017 Summit Week.
As the Head of the Security and Order Subcommittee of APEC 2017, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and the results of the implementation of security plans achieved by relevant agencies and units.
Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam asked the relevant agencies and units to continue working to complete coordination regulations and clear assignment of responsibilities of the Ministry of Public Security, Da Nang Municipal Police and units under the Ministry of Defense to avoid overlapping; at the same time, soon finish the construction of the APEC Summit Command Center of the Ministry of Public Security and APEC Summit Command Center of the Da Nang Municipal Police by August and September so as to connect with the Ministry of Defense APEC Command Center in Military Zone 5 and Ministry of Public Security in Hanoi.
The deputy minister also clarified tasks of each agency and unit under the Ministry of Public Security and asked all to be ready for rehearsals of guiding delegations, protecting venues as well as complete the plans to deny any unexpected penetrations from the air or sea.
