"All people protecting national security" movement brings about positive results in Bac Lieu
Having recognized hundreds workers of the Urban Service Center in Bac Lieu City working in the open air along the street as builders, urban infrastructure maintainers, cleaners, park guarders or gardeners, who could easily detect acts of law violations, the Bac Lieu Provincial Police Department advised the Steering Committee 138, and then collaborated with the Urban Service Center to form self-managed groups of urban service workers to maintain public security and order. In April 14th 2016, this model was officially launched with 143 members organized into 7 groups.
Senior Colonel Pham Quang Chung, Director of the Bac Lieu Municipal Police Department said that: "Since this model has been put into operation, the sense of crime prevention and the movement "All people protecting national security" have significantly been improved, contributing positively to ensuring local security and order.
Over the past time, workers of the Urban Service Center haveprovided police with hundreds of pieces of valuable information about security and order situations, including 146 crime reports. They have helped the city’s police to crack down on 8 theft cases, arrest 11 drug-related suspects, and eradicated 14 drug hubs."
