The APEC’s Security and Order Subcommittee summoned to second meeting
PSNews – Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam – Deputy Minister of Public Security chaired the 2nd working session of the Security and Order Subcommittee of APEC 2017 on April 12.

At the working session, representatives of the Security and Order Subcommittee briefed General Nam on the outcomes of ensuring security and order during the Informal Senior Officials Meeting (ISOM) in Hanoi in December - 2016 and the 1st Senior Officials Meeting (SOM1) in Nha Trang in March - 2017.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam praised and highly valued members’ efforts of the Security and Order Subcommittee of APEC 2017 and of other relevant units in the past time.
He said that after the 1st working session, the Subcommittee well implemented all plans and basically caught up with the schedule, contributing to the success of ISOM and SOM1.
In addition, he asked the Subcommittee to regularly exchange information with the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the Da Nang's Municipal People Committee, and closely cooperate with them in drawing up security plans for the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders' Week in Da Nang in November while promptly responding to unexpected situations.
