Thua Thien- Hue Police help people overcome consequences of natural disarter

PSNews – As soon as the floods went away in several localities of the Central province of Thua Thien- Hue, dozens of officers the province’s police department joined hand with locals in cleaning up roads, office buildings, medical stations and houses, helping locals to soon resume their normal daily life.

The country's Central region has been battered by torrential downpours in recent weeks, causing severe flooding and landslides. Many places in Thua Thien- Hue province are experiencing the worst flood in decades.

In Hue city, the local police force is now working the whole day alongside locals to clear off mud, dirt and rock from roads, with the aim of helping the people soon return to normal life.

As many schools were terribly devastated by the recent flooding. Thousands of pupils in the province have been told to stay home as the schools have closed due to serious natural disasters. The police officers have also been mobilized to clean up school facilities, helping them to soon reopen schools.

Since the storm hit Nam Dong district, the police, in coordination with other local forces and local authorities, have joint the local people in overcoming the consequences. They cleared up uprooted plants and repaired damaged houses for policy beneficiary families, old-aged and disabled people….

The officers also join hand with locals in cleaning up roads, office buildings, medical stations and houses.
