Thua Thien Hue police launch campaign against crimes

The Provincial Police Department of Thua Thien Hue on December 14 launched an intensive campaign to suppress crime, and ensure absolute safety for the upcoming 13th National Party Congress and the upcoming Traditional Lunar New Year holiday (Tet).

Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, attended and addressed at the event.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of the Provincial Police Department, launched the campaign to fight all types of crimes and struggle against all conspiracies and activities by hostile forces to ensure security and order during the upcoming 13th National Party Congress and Tet.

The provincial police forces were asked to take measures to suppress crimes of all kinds, particularly criminal gangs, robbery, murder, “black credit” and high-tech crime.

They should make special efforts to ensure order and safety on traffic routes and urban areas, and mobilize local people to report crimes to the police.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho appreciated the efforts and achievements made by the provincial police forces in COVID-19 prevention and combat as well as in natural disaster response and relief.

He suggested that the provincial police forces should advise the local Party committees and authorities at all levels to mobilize the political system to participate in the intensive campaign against crimes, contributing to ensuring safety for the political and social events in the province.
