Thua Thien – Hue police open sport and shooting festival

The Provincial Police Department of Thua Thien – Hue on July 21 opened its sport and shooting festival 2020.

The event is organized to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – 2020) 15th “All people protecting national security” Festive Day (August 19, 2005 – 2020), and the 58th founding anniversary of the People’s Police Force (July 20, 1962 – 2020).
More than 440 amateur athletes from various local police units participated in two major categories, namely “strong policemen” and “army gun shooting”.Participating in the “strong policemen” event, male officers and soldiers competed in 100-meter run; 3,000-meter run (for officers between 18 and 35) and 1.500-meter run (for officers over 36), long jump and chin-up.
Female officers could also participate in 100-meter run, long jump, and 2,000-meter run (for officers between 18 and 35) and 800-meter run (for officers over 36).
Athletes also competed in shooting events: 25-meter CZ75 shoot for female officers and men's 100-meter AK shooting competition.
The organizers honored outstanding individuals and teams at the closing ceremony on July 22.
