Traffic police officers save drowning woman
PSNews – Traffic police officers managed to save a woman who committed suicide in the Huong River. The woman jumped down into the river Phu Xuan bridge.
Traffic police officers have saved a woman, named D, resident of An Cuu ward, Hue city, who had tried to commit suicide, according to the Traffic Police of Hue city.
The woman was seen climbing over the rail of the bridge at about 4:30 pm, and then throwing herself into the fast flowing water. Many passers-by tried in vain to stop her.
A team of traffic police of Hue was on duty nearby and immediately reported to their leaders for direction. Major Lai The Linh, deputy head of the traffic police of Hue and other officers promptly raced a canoe to the scene and successfully saved the woman.
The victim’s family was reportedly facing various difficulties that made D kill herself. Earlier, she had once attempted to commit suicide.
