Vietnam, China to strengthen cooperation in fight against crimes

At the reception, the host expressed sympathy toward the difficulties and losses of Chinese people caused by floods and the COVID-19 pandemic over the past time. He spoke highly of the Chinese government for sharing information and experience with other countries, including Vietnam, in controlling the pandemic.
Deputy Minister Toi wished that the two sides would promote coordination in immigration management in the coming time to promptly prevent people illegally crossing the borderline, as well as improve the efficiency of the joint efforts to fight against crimes.
Ambassador Xiong Bo thanked the Deputy Minister for his warm reception and affirmed that, in his working position, he will make positive contributions to promoting the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries in general, between the law enforcement agencies of China and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in particular.

* On the afternoon of the same day, Major General Le Tan Toi hosted a ceremony in Hanoi to award a Medal "National Security Protection" of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to Mr. Zhao Wanping, Embassy Counselor and Chief Representative of the China’s Ministry of Public Security in Vietnam for his great contributions to promoting cooperation between the two ministries.
After the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Son, Director of the Foreign Relations Department under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, and Mr. Zhao Wanping co-chaired a meeting to review the coordination between the two sides in crime prevention and fight over the past eight months.
