Minister To Lam expressed his pleasure at the good results of the cooperation between Vietnam and the United States in recent years in the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, security.

The good results of the cooperation have well contributed to the stable and sustainable development in each country in particular and the region in general.
In addition, relations between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the relevant agencies of the United States have seen positive developments and achieved many important results in recent times.
Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam hoped that ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink, in his position, will continue contributing to strengthening relations between the two countries as well as between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the relevant agencies of the United States for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.
For his part, Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink thanked Minister To Lam for the warm reception. He expressed delight at the successful cooperation in various fields between the two countries in general, between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the United States’ law enforcement agencies in particular in 2017.
Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink highly appreciated Vietnam's achievements in hosting and ensuring security and safety for the APEC 2017 Summit in Da Nang city, while excellently organizing and ensuring safety of the visits of leaders of APEC member economies, including the visit of President Donald Trump to Vietnam in November 2017.
He affirmed to continue fostering good relations between the two countries, and cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and relevant agencies and law enforcement agencies of the United States, contributing to ensuring national security of each country and for the benefits of the peoples of the two countries.
