Vietnam and Thailand promote cooperation in crime prevention and combat
PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on August 20 received a visiting Thai police delegation, led by Mr. Torsak Saardpark, Special Adviser at the Royal Thai Police.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that the visit by the delegation would contribute to expanding the bilateral relations between the two countries in general and between the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Vietnam and the Royal Thai Police in particular.
On the basis of the fine ties and cooperation between the two sides, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh suggested promoting exchange of delegations at all levels and sharing information, experience in prevention and combat of crimes, particularly transnational organized crime, terrorism, drug-related crime and high-tech crime. He also underscored the need to promote coordination to prevent individuals and organizations from using one country’s territory as a safe haven to sabotage the other, as well as to ensure security and order for diplomatic missions, enterprises and citizens of one country legally doing business, living, travelling and studying in the other country.
Mr. Torsak Saardpark thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh for his kind reception and highlighted that the Royal Thai Police is always willing to cooperate with the MPS of Vietnam in fields of mutual concerns. He also wished to receive further support from the MPS of Vietnam and affirmed that the Thai side will continue to meet and exchange experience with the Vietnamese side to contribute to promoting friendly relations between the two countries.
